Accessibility statement
How karpinity.com is built and tested against WCAG 2.2 level AA, what conformance we can currently claim, what is not yet tested, and how to report an accessibility problem.

KARPINITY is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This statement covers how conformance is tested and where the gaps are.
This site does not claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. AA is the target, automated and manual checks run against every published page, and known limitations are listed below.
How this is tested
These checks run in continuous integration, and a page that fails any of them does not ship:
- Automated rules. axe-core scans every route in the site’s sitemap against the WCAG 2.0 A and AA, 2.1 A and AA and 2.2 AA rule sets. Each page ships in one fixed theme, dark or light, and is scanned in the theme a visitor sees.
- Colour contrast at the source. Every colour pairing in the design system is checked against the WCAG contrast ratios before it reaches the site, so a colour change that breaks contrast fails the build.
- Keyboard access. On every route, the skip-to-content link is the first tab stop and moves focus into the main content, and every interactive element shows a visible focus indicator. The mobile menu opens and closes from the keyboard, its links follow the menu button in the tab order, and Escape closes it and returns focus to the button.
- Reflow. Every route is checked for horizontal scrolling at widths from 320 to 1440 pixels.
Automated testing cannot check everything. Whether alternative text is meaningful, whether reading order matches visual order in every layout, and whether content is understandable in context all need human judgement.
Motion and media
Several pages, including the homepage, move as you scroll. If your device is set to reduce motion, they show as ordinary pages: nothing is pinned or animated, and every piece of text and every diagram is shown in full. Text that lights up as you read is fully legible without JavaScript and with reduced motion.
The KARPINITY film has no sound. A written description of everything it shows sits beside the player. Demonstrations that play by themselves stop when you use their controls: the simulated agent run can then be stepped through by hand, and product videos can be paused.
What is not yet tested
This site has not yet had a dedicated testing pass by an assistive-technology user, such as someone who browses primarily with a screen reader. It has not had a third-party accessibility audit. This statement will be updated when either happens.
If PDF or other non-HTML documents are ever published here (for example under the papers section), they will be checked for basic accessibility before publishing. They are not guaranteed the same automated coverage as an HTML page, since PDF accessibility tooling works differently.
Known limitations
We know of no outstanding accessibility issue on this site as of the date at the top of this page. If that changes, this section will list the issue and, where possible, a workaround until it is fixed.
Reporting a problem
If you meet an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, tell us. We treat it as a defect.

Please include the page URL and, if you can, the assistive technology or browser you were using. We will acknowledge accessibility reports promptly and aim to fix genuine defects.
Standard and scope
This statement covers all of karpinity.com. It is prepared against WCAG 2.2, published by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative.1 It does not reference a specific national legal accessibility standard, because counsel has not yet confirmed for Davidovski GmbH which, if any, apply to this site. WCAG 2.2 AA is the technical target in either case.
