ShareClone
A reliable offline mirror of your SharePoint libraries on your Mac. It signs in through the browser, resumes interrupted downloads, re-syncs only what changed and says done only when every file is.
What it does
ShareClone keeps a one-way copy of your SharePoint document libraries on your Mac, so your files are there when you need them, with or without a connection.
It is built for Microsoft 365 tenants that are locked down and do not allow app registrations. You sign in through the browser the way you always do, and ShareClone takes it from there.
ShareClone only reads. It never writes back to SharePoint.
How it works
- Sign in. You sign in through the browser, with whatever single sign-on and multi-factor checks your organisation uses.
- Choose. Add a library and a destination folder, and pick the folders you want.
- Download. ShareClone downloads folder by folder. If a transfer is interrupted, it continues from where it stopped.
- Re-sync. Later syncs fetch only new or changed files.
- Finish. ShareClone keeps going until nothing is pending, and reports done only when every file is done.
When SharePoint throttles requests, ShareClone backs off and retries politely, so a large library still completes.
How the lab built it
Built for locked-down tenants
No app registration is needed. ShareClone signs in through Microsoft’s own first-party sign-in where the tenant allows it, and otherwise drives a real browser so your usual sign-in applies unchanged.
Progress that survives a restart
Per-file state is stored locally, so a transfer survives a restart of the app or the Mac. The status shown is read from the files themselves.
Who it’s for
ShareClone is for people who work in large organisations on SharePoint and need their documents offline: consultants, auditors, project teams and anyone who travels or works with poor connectivity. It also suits IT teams that want a dependable local copy without asking for new permissions.
